LDE Inventory

Formalized in the Leiden-Delft-Erasmus (‘LDE’) strategic alliance, Leiden University has been collaborating with the Erasmus University Rotterdam and Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in many areas including around ‘Africa’ (cf. their collaboration around ‘ Frugal Innovations’).
Last year Leiden University has already drawn up an inventory of Africa expertise among its scientific staff and across all academic departments, including these scholars’ networks and contacts with knowledge institutes based in Africa.
As follow-up, a similar inventory has been conducted for these two other universities of the LDE partnership, complemented with knowledge institutes that are part of the broader ‘knowledge environment’ in the region: UNESCO-IHE (Delft), Wereldmuseum (Rotterdam) and Clingendael (The Hague). The preliminary results of this inventory can be found here. Please note that this is a living document and that information is not exhaustive.
