Acrylic paintings by Sam Kajembe (Kenya)

Until October there is an exhibition of works by Sam Kajembe on display in the African Studies Centre library and in the ASC corridor on the ground floor of the Pieter de la Court building of the University of Leiden.

Dance motives. Rectangular and stretched paintings.

Painting

Sam Kajembe is a 30-year-old Kenyan artist who started drawing and painting when he was a teenager. His work is inspired by the traditional dances of the Giryama people. He has been living in the Netherlands since 2001.

The acrylic and canvas paintings range in price from €50 to €110.
