Transnational Islamic NGOs in Africa

This comparative project aims to study the work of transnational Islamic NGOs (especially those from the Gulf) in selected African countries, with a focus on the ‘charity chain’ as a process of African and Arab engagement, and on local social and political effects in different parts of Africa.
