



ASC researchers have been applying for external funding from various sources.
Mirjam de Bruijn, for example, has been awarded a VICI grant for her proposal 'Connecting in Times of Duress: Understanding Communication and Conflict in Middle Africa’s Mobile Margins'.
And the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has provided funding for further research as part of the Tracking Development project that is comparing four countries in South East Asia with four in Sub-Saharan Africa in an attempt to explain why the former region has developed more rapidly over the last 50 century.
